Online Permits and License RenewalMyGovThe City has contracted with MyGov to provide permitting, licensing and request for service software. The new portal will allow residents, contractors and business owners to apply for permits online and pay for them right away without having to come into the Government Center. Click the link below to go to MyGov. ContractorsEffective November 1, 2025, all contractor and permit applications must be submitted through the MyGov Permit Portal. 1) Please use the following link to create your collaborator account. MyGov Permit Portal. If you already have a MyGov account from doing work in another municipality that uses MyGov, you would log in like you normally would, and then you will continue with step 3. 2) Click the Create Account in the top right corner. Enter all required information and create contact. 3) After entering your contact information, you will need to Request access for City of Ballwin.
4) On the Ballwin page, you can select the green + Make New Request button on the top left of the dashboard. 5) Once you click on City of Ballwin, you can then select the Contractor Registration you need. 6) After completing the application, our staff will review the application and an invoice for the fee will be emailed to the email used in your collaborator profile. Once paid, the credential will be issued and you can begin to pull permits. To pull permits, click on the green “+Create New Project” button and choose the project template that you need. Fill in all of the required fields and then click “Create Project”. We appreciate your cooperation during this transition. Once approved, you may call City Hall to schedule any required inspections during normal business hours at (636) 227-2129 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday) or email your inspection request to .
