#1 Upcoming Election

April 3 is your next chance to get to the polls. The 2018 municipal election is almost here and the last day to register to vote is March 7 (see www.stlouisco.com to register). A list of candidates for the Board of Aldermen can be found on the City of Ballwin's website. No other measures are on the ballot for this election. Polls are open 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

#2 City Hall Bids

There has been an exciting update in the process of constructing the new Ballwin City Hall. The project is now out to bid with proposals due later this month. Official specifications can be found online. If you know contractors or vendors who would be interested in bidding this project, be sure to pass it along.

#3 Reporting Street Light Outages

As a reminder, all street light outages should be reported directly to Ameren Missouri. Outages can be reported by calling Ameren 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-800-552-7583. Or by sending them an email. Please provide the address and the light number when reporting the outage. The number is listed on the pole and will start with the letter "B" for Ballwin. Street light repairs take approximately 14 business days.

#4 Seventeen Acts of Kindness

At the last Board of Aldermen meeting in light of recent tragic events, Alderman Bullington took a moment to urge Ballwin residents to listen to their children intently. As a school principal himself, he especially encouraged people to report anything suspicious to the authorities. In memory of the 17 people who died in Parkland, Florida, Alderman Bullington encouraged everyone to do 17 good deeds in the next 17 days.

#5 Ballwin's Comprehensive Plan Update

This project has officially been named Ballwin's Blueprint. A Comprehensive Plan establishes a shared vision for the City of Ballwin and will guide our decisions for years to come. The i5Group, a local firm from St. Louis, was recently selected with board approval to conduct the project.

Dates for open houses, surveys, and more will be set in the very near future. So don't miss the opportunity to help shape where the City of Ballwin is heading-- sign up to stay in the loop.

One of the most well-attended events of the year is coming back for it's third annual appearance. Tons of Trucks is a FREE community event where kids and adults alike can admire and explore trucks and vehicles of all sizes.
