Latest News & AnnouncementsNorth Pointe Aquatic Center Opening June 15th Last Updated 6.9.20 On Wednesday, May 27, St. Louis County released their official guidelines for reopening Public Water Recreation Facilities (PWRF). As you know, we were waiting to review this document before making an official decision regarding our North Pointe Aquatic Center. After weeks of uncertainty, we are excited to announce North Pointe is scheduled to open on Monday, June 15 with restricted hours. We will be modifying our operations by offering two, 2.5-hour sessions, with a max capacity of 315 guests per session. The hours as follows: Monday - Sunday
12 - 2:30 p.m. (first session)
3 - 5:30 p.m. (second session)
The 30-minute breaks in between sessions will allow time for patrons to exit the facility safely and for our staff to disinfect and sanitize the facility. At this time, we will be limiting admission to current pool pass holders (resident and non resident), Platinum membership holders (resident and non resident), and Ballwin residents. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis and residents who do not have a Pool Pass or Platinum Membership will need to show their Ballwin Parks & Recreation Resident ID to pay an entrance fee (the resident daily rates can be found online at ballwin.mo.us/North-Pointe-Fees/). Residents will not be allowed to bring non-resident guests. We plan to reevaluate our operations and policies regularly throughout the summer and have not ruled out non-resident admission at a later date. Residents will need to have a current Ballwin Parks & Recreation Resident ID or a Resident Pool Pass to enter our facility. From Saturday, June 6 to Sunday, June 14, we will have staff at North Pointe selling and renewing Ballwin Parks & Recreation Resident IDs and Resident Pool Passes (pool pass fees can be found online at ballwin.mo.us/Memberships/). You must visit North Pointe during one of these times to purchase or renew yours: June 6 and 7: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
June 8 - 12: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
June 13 and 14: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Please note, you will need to bring a current gas, water, electric, or sewer bill in order to prove residency. We will make all purchased 2020 pool passes valid year-to-date (ex: June 15, 2020 - June 15, 2021), so they will be active for a portion of our 2021 swim season. As you can imagine, our operations will look different than normal. In addition to everything mentioned above, we will be instituting the following operational changes to comply with St. Louis County guidelines:
Lastly, your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Staff will increase cleaning efforts both before, during, and after each swim session. We will prioritize disinfecting and sanitizing all high-touch surfaces and equipment. As I’m sure you’ve heard countless times, this is truly an unprecedented situation. While we understand we can’t offer you the North Pointe summer you’re used to, we will do everything we can to make sure you still have a safe and fun experience at our facility. We ask for your patience and understanding as we open our facility and work through these operational changes.
