The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Mayor Jones noted that Joel Portman was in attendance, a Scout working to obtain his Communications Merit Badge.
MINUTES APPROVAL The Minutes of the August 27, 2001 Board of Aldermen meeting were submitted for approval. A motion was made by Alderman Nichols and seconded by Alderman Easter to approve the Minutes. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.
CITIZEN COMMENTS Stephanie Rapier, 208 Spooners Mill Drive Deborah O’Hara, 513 Spooners Mill Drive PUBLIC HEARINGS LEGISLATION A motion was made by Alderman Boland and seconded by Alderman Easter for a first reading of Bill No. 3115. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3115 was read for the first time. A motion was made by Alderman Nichols and seconded by Alderman Suozzi for a second reading of Bill No. 3115. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3115 was read for the second time. A roll call was taken for passage and approval of Bill No. 3115 with the following results: Ayes – Suozzi, Boland, Robinson, Gatton, Easter, Nichols . Nays – None. Whereupon Mayor Jones declared Bill No. 3115 approved and it became Ordinance No. 01-56. BILL # 3116 A motion was made by Alderman Robinson and seconded by Alderman Nichols for a first reading of Bill No. 3116. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3116 was read for the first time. A motion was made by Alderman Suozzi and seconded by Alderman Easter for a second reading of Bill No. 3116. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3116 was read for the second time. Alderman Robinson requested letters be sent from the Aldermen to the residents being affected by the ward change. City Administrator Kuntz said the new Election Board printout will contain the address and ward information. A roll call was taken for passage and approval of Bill No. 3116 with the following results: Ayes – Nichols, Gatton, Robinson, Suozzi, Easter, Boland. Nays – None. Whereupon Mayor Jones declared Bill No. 3116 approved and it became Ordinance No. 01-57. BILL # 3117 A motion was made by Alderman Nichols and seconded by Alderman Easter for a first reading of Bill No. 3117. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3117 was read for the first time. A motion was made by Alderman Robinson and seconded by Alderman Gatton to change "St. Louis County Water Company" to the new name, "Missouri American Water Company". A voice vote was taken with an affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. A motion was made by Alderman Suozzi and seconded by Alderman Gatton for a second reading of Bill No. 3117, as amended. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3117 was read for the second time. A roll call was taken for passage and approval of Bill No. 3117 with the following results: Ayes – Gatton, Easter, Nichols, Boland, Suozzi, Robinson. Nays – None. Whereupon Mayor Jones declared Bill No. 3117 approved and it became Ordinance No. 01-58. BILL # 3118 A motion was made by Alderman Gatton and seconded by Alderman Easter for a first reading of Bill No. 3118. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3118 was read for the first time. A motion was made by Alderman Robinson and seconded by Alderman Suozzi for a second reading of Bill No. 3118. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3118 was read for the second time. A roll call was taken for passage and approval of Bill No. 3118 with the following results: Ayes – Suozzi, Easter, Gatton, Nichols, Boland, Robinson. Nays – None. Whereupon Mayor Jones declared Bill No. 3118 approved and it became Ordinance No. 01-59. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3119 was read for the first time. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3119 was read for the second time. Whereupon Mayor Jones declared Bill No. 3119 approved and it became Ordinance No. 01-60. BILL # 3120 A motion was made by Alderman Gatton and seconded by Alderman Boland for a first reading of Bill No. 3120. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3120 was read for the first time. A motion was made by Alderman Easter and seconded by Alderman Nichols for a second reading of Bill No. 3120. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed. Bill No. 3120 was read for the second time. A roll call was taken for passage and approval of Bill No. 3120 with the following results: Ayes – Easter, Boland, Suozzi, Nichols, Robinson, Gatton. Nays – None.
